Bena, Bobbie and Sandy......My deepest sympathy on your overwhelming loss. Chuck was one of the good guys and a long-time member of our old breakfast group.
He leaves big shoes to fill, but I'm sure you kids will always make him proud.

Bena, Sandy, Bobbie: Just heard today, Friday, the terrible news. (Sorry we did not attend the services, as we just found out). What a shock -- we are profoundly saddened, and want to express to you and Bobbie and Sandy our sincere condolences. We will always remember Chuck as one of the nicest, kindest people we've ever known, and as a wonderful husband and father who was obviously contentedly and completely devoted to his family. What a loss. We will be thinking about you. Glenn, Susan, Liza & Lindsey Portugal

Arnie called Michael's wife Vivian to tell her the sad news of Chuck's death. We are so very sad to hear about your loss. Even though we drifted apart after college we thought about Chuck and wondered about him. Rick's sister Joyce told us she saw him at Field's not that long ago. We are so sorry about his passing so young. Please express our condolences to Bena and his daughters.

Dear Bloom Family,
We heard of Chuck's passing this afternoon. Marion and I are so sad to hear of this news. Charlie and I met in the first grade at Middleton School. Chuck and his family were my friends, and like family to me, for the better part of 25 years. My cousin, Ed Etzkin, another friend of Charlie's, sends his condolences as well.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Chuck. He was a wonderful person, since I knew him since first grade years in Austin and Skokie, as Michele and he were school mates. Take care. Rose.

I can't find the right words to express my sorrow at the passing of your husband. You went through a lot that tragic Monday afternoon. You have a lot of strength. Pray to G_d that it will carry you through this ordeal. Please give your children and all your loved ones a hug for me. It won't ease the pain very much but at least the bond that is established will help them remember that there is someone out there who hurts inside at your tragic loss.

My heartful prayers are with you. Chuck was a great man and I am so blessed that I had the opportunity to meet and work with him for 5 1/2 years. May the angels of God watch over you and your family.
