Celestino Palomar Obituary

Palomar, Celestino "Tino" May 20, 1927 - January 31, 2018 "Tino" Palomar, age 90, devoted husband of 63 years to the late Lucille Palomar, loving father to daughters, Carol Sullivan, Joanie Bagherpour, Jaqueline Grossman and the late Darlene Palomar. Also, devoted Grandfather to Catherine Rogers, Jessica Sroka, Samantha Bagherpour, Noah Bagherpour, Tessa Grossman and Troy Grossman and Great Grandfather to Corbin Hewitt, Cameron Hewitt, Cassidy Hewitt, Cian Hewitt, Caelin Sroka, Effie Sroka and Gates Sroka passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Scottsdale, AZ. A longtime Chicago resident, "Tino" was a 33rd Degree Mason, an active member of the Scottish Rite, and the Medinah Shrine Patrol as well as a volunteer for the Shrine Circus until he relocated to Scottsdale, AZ in 2014, due to failing health. A WWII veteran, he served in the Navy and was stationed in San Diego. After the war, he remained an active member of his American Legion Post. He enjoyed a long career as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union for over 60 years. "Tino's" wit, humor and wisdom will be missed by his family and all who knew him. His remains will be transported back to his beloved Chicago for a private memorial service where he will be laid to rest beside his late wife and daughter in Graceland Cemetery.
