Hearing of Catherine's death brought back memories of her when I was a teen. Catherine was always so cheerful and always talked to me and seemed interested in my life. She never talked down to me.
My prayers are with all of you.

John, my apology for being unable to attend the wake yesterday and my deepest regrets on the passing of your mother. I would of paid my respects yesterday, but I just learned of her death over lunch when I saw the obituary in the Sun Times as we only get the local Daily Heard at the house. As you know, I was close to both my grandparents and found their deaths to be mentally and physically exhausting so I know how it effects you and your family. I also know that the hurt eventually goes away and the good memories will make the difficult ones distant. Please extend my thoughts and prayers to your bothers, sisters and rest of the family. I hope to see you soon, my friend.

My dad, Bud McMahon, had a gas station at Chicago & Harlem in Oak Park. Frank would come in and fill up his truck.I would wait on him. He was always very cheerful. Would have his son with him. Although I never got to know the rest of the family, I want to express my sympathy for the loss of your mom.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the family. She was a beautiful person and cousin. She will certainly be missed by everyone who knew her.
