Joyce and I were deeply saddened to learn of Kay's passing. We admired her greatly for the strength she displayed after losing two of her children at different times when they were young adults, and also when she lost her husband Tom. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Battle family during this difficult time.

Aunt Kay has experienced such extraordinary LOSS in her life with the strength and dignity that I could ONLY hope to attain. I will ALWAYS remember her as a STRONG, Irish-looking woman. (HELL~~SHE WAS IRISH AS ONE COULD GET!) I recall our last encounter....It was at MY Mother's funeral luncheon .... She looked GREAT! I told her so. She glanced at the person whom she was with, and said, "Give her FIVE bucks!" She's ONE in a million!! I will miss her.
