Carolyn Heeter Obituary

Heeter, Carolyn M. Age 68, Florida, late of Burlington, passed away peacefully at her Burlington home on Monday, August 7, 2017. Born in Chicago on November 2, 1948, she was the daughter of Peter and Mae (nee Joyce) Dahl. She spent her early life in Chicago where she graduated from St. Gabriel's Catholic High School. On December 22, 1967, she was united in marriage to John T. "Luke" Heeter. Following marriage they made their home in Burlington where they raised their family. John preceded her in death on August 22, 2012. Carolyn worked for Nestle. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed sitting by the pool in Florida and playing slot machines. She is survived by her children, Tommy Heeter, Timmy (Holly) Heeter, Jack (Michaelle) Heeter, Doreen Heeter, Ken Heeter, and Kelly Heeter; grandchildren, Joy, Taryn, John, Dylan, Kacie, Quinn, and Rylee Heeter. She is also survived by her sister, Maryellen Dahl. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Jimmy and Peter Dahl; and a sister, Joan (Dan) Sheehan. Memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice in memory of Carolyn. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff with Kindred Hospice for their wonderful care during this time. Services for Carolyn will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Williams officiating.
