Carolina Acanfora Obituary
Carolina Acanfora, 89, of Palatine formerly of Chicago; loving wife to the late Vincenzo; loved mother to Bruno (Jennifer); cherished grandmother to Benjamin and Jacob; dear sister to Maria (the late William) Comforte, Carmela (the late Adrianno) Fusanno, Antonietta Aiello and Michele Ledonne (wife Caterina) and the late Vincenzo Ledonne; fond sister-in-law to Marge Ledonne; and beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Carolina worked as a seamstress for Marshall Fields, in Chicago, for over 25 years. She was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church in Chicago and recently St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church in Palatine. Visitation Thursday, September 23, 2021from 3 pm until 8 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Hts. Rd. (four blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Hts., IL 60004. Prayers 9:15 am, Friday, September 24, 2021 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Thomas Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 East Anderson Dr., Palatine, IL 600074 for a 10:00 am Funeral Mass. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Children's Tumor Foundation at www.ctf.org.
