Romano, Carl Joseph 90, loving and devoted husband of Emy Zayas Romano for 31 years, and the late Winifred Colwell Romano, devoted father of Carla (Guy) Bernacchi, Michele Romano Doran, Winifred L. Romano and Dr. Henry (Phoebe) Zayas, wonderful grandfather of Margaret W. Bernacchi, Carl (Melynda) Bernacchi, Nancy R. Bernacchi, Christopher C. Doran, Kevin R. Doran, Ellie Kate Zayas, Olivia Zayas and the late Margaret Zayas, loving great Papa of Jamie Friedman-Bernacchi, Megan and Ava Bernacchi, loving brother of Angeline (the late Carl) DiPrima and the late Paul (the late Jean) Romano, loving uncle and friend to many. Visitation Monday 4 to 9 p.m. at N.H. Scott & Hebblethwaite Funeral Home, 1240 Waukegan Rd., Glenview, (2 blks., south of Lake ave. on west side) Funeral from the funeral home Tuesday 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1775 Grove St., Glenview, for Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Families of SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) P.O Box 196, Libertyville, IL, 60048. Carl was a wonderful asset to the Kenilworth Club and helped so many of us when we were planning an event there. His sunny disposition made things run smoothly. He will be greatly missed.

I am so sorry. Although Carl lived a long, wonderful life - it is always hard to loose a parent, someone you love. He was so lucky to have such devoted children!!
