Byron Etapa Obituary
Byron L. Etapa of Alsip, IL passed away on May 1, 2024. Beloved life partner to the late Esme Bell. Loving father to the late Chad (Andrea) Etapa, Kirk (Anna) Etapa, Randy (the late Brooke) Etapa and Eric (Ana) Etapa. Proud grandfather of Hope, Gianna, Faith, Chad M.V. and Amanda Etapa, Matthew and Michael Bielski. Cherished brother to Kathleen Voutsinas and stepbrother to Jerry (Joan) White. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Byron was a retired employee of Illinois Bell/ SBC/ Ameritech/ AT&T for over 40 years. He was a boy Scout leader /mentor of troop 465 and pack 3465, and currently troop 1439 for 40 years. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 14, 2024 from 3-8pm with a "Broken Arrow Ceremony" at 6pm located at Blake Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W 103rd St, Oak Lawn, Il, 60453. A 10am public viewing will take place on Wednesday May 15, 2024 following with a funeral service at 11am. Concluding with the Interment at 12pm located at Beverly Cemetery, 12000 S Kedzie Ave, Blue Island, IL 60406. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Byron Etapa to: The Owasippe Staff Association, P.O. Box 7097, Westchester, IL, 60154
