Faldet, Burton 79, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 16. A native of Iowa, he lived most of his life in Chicago. As an educational psychologist, he had a long career in public school teaching, serving as school psychologist at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, and as test developer at Science Research Associates. In his retirement he returned to university teaching. He was active with St. James Episcopal Cathedral for many years and served as Board President of Cathedral Counseling Center where he became a lifetime trustee. He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years, Marion MacKinnon Faldet. A Requiem Eucharist will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, July 22, at St. James Cathedral, Wabash and Huron Streets, Chicago. Interment will follow in the Cathedral Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral Counseling Center.
