Like many, I am sad to learn of the death of Bryan D.Carnithan. I first met Bryan approximately 15 years ago, when I hired him as a paramedic instructor for the City of Kenosha, Wisconsin Fire Department. His breath of medical knowledge was incredible. I was amazed how fast he connected with paramedics and firefighters who wanted to learn more from him on how to care for critically sick and injured people. His leadership, along with his management skills and employment as a flight paramedic with several medical helicopter services saved many lives throughout his career. Sharing his skills and experiences taught other emergency medical service professionals the knowledge and confidence to save others as well.
Over the year, we became friends and remained in contact once he finished teaching for Kenosha. His infectious laugh, smile, jokes, smarts, honesty, and wit kept us friends throughout the years. We would try to talk every six months, catching up on things happening in each other´s lives.
If there was one thing made very clear to me in our conversations was the love he expressed towards his daughter Kacey. She was the light and apple in his heart, he loved her so very much! He loved all his family that I know for certain.
We always talked about getting together, but we never got it to happen, I will regret this forever. Bryan was good to people and had much love to share. He was kind, professional and compassionate with all who were lucky to meet him. He will be missed by so many family members and friends; I miss him already. Bryan, until we meet again may you rest in peace.
Love ya brother, Rich Meeker

My sincere condolences for Kacey and the family. I have fond memories of hanging out and singing with Bryan at his BBQs when they lived in West Plains.
