Bridget Pekala Obituary

Pekala, Bridget L. (nee DiVito), 77, of Naperville, longtime of Chicago. At rest, March 10, 2006 at Loyola Medical Center. She was born on February 18, 1929 in Chicago to Louis and Clara (nee Grossi) DiVito. Loving mother of Carole (Robert) Gabler of Naperville, beloved grandmother of Amy Gabler of Chicago, dear sister of the late Camillo (the late Sally), the late Gus (the late Lorraine) DiVito, the late Elsie (the late John) Dziedzic, cherished aunt of Christine (David) Sullivan, Nancy (William) Martin, the late Louis DiVito and the late Lenore Willard, and the entire DiVito and Grossi families. Graduate of Kelly High School, Chicago. Employed by Illinois Bell before beginning her lifelong career as a hairdresser. She operated Bridget's Hair Fashions in Chicago for over 20 years. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, travel (especially to Italy) and play Bingo. Memorials in her memory to a charity of the donor's choice are preferred. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19, 2:00 until 7:00 p.m., at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 South Mill, Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 9:30 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville. Interment will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
