I miss Brenda very much. We used to meet for lunches often. She attended my younger son’s wedding reception. She was very supportive to me during our years together at Jesse Brown V A Medical Center.

I met Brenda in the third grade at Northwood elementary. She had long blonde hair and was really Kool! She was the reason I spent so much time in the Principles Office. On the way too and from school, I would constantly vie for her attention which evidently was to much. We were classmates all the way through High School. We became very close friends and shared a lot of special times. One was working together at Groff's Pharmacy at Lane & High Street. What a blast that was, Mr. Groff would just shake his head, smile and walk on by.
My wife Darla, and Brenda became very close friends so the contact with her remained strong through the years.
We both miss hearing from Brenda and miss her very much.

Brenda was the nicest, warmest, fun-loving friend anyone could ever have. I have known her since grade school in Columbus, Ohio. Brenda loved to talk and share funny stories and travel photos and adventures. She will be missed by all who knew her and replaced by no one! Tom Melvin

Brenda was my best friend in high school and we have always kept in touch. She was the nicest, most thoughtful and definitely funniest person I have ever known. She fought a hard battle and hopefully is now at peace. I will miss our phone conversations and her very funny emails! My thoughts and prayers are with her wonderful family.

So sorry to hear of Brenda’s passing. I last spoke with her several years ago on north Michigan Ave when she was supervising nursing students and enjoying her work. We had a nice long chat about our experience at Jesse Brown VA . One of her many contributions was to establish the PTSD program at JBVA. My heart felt sympathy to her loving family.

Aunt Brenda was a bright light in my world and I always appreciated her kind and caring ways. I admired her commitment to serving in the medical field, and feel lucky to have known her. Rest in peace Aunt Brenda.

I met Brenda about 20 years ago at an Ohio State function held in Chicago. We were seated beside one another at the College of Nursing table. Besides both being nurses we had being Buckeyes in common (my husband, Ethan, and I are both from Lima, Ohio).
Through the years we have enjoyed many, lunches, plays, movies, and volunteering together. Occasionally Ethan would join us. Since our birthdays are 5 days apart, we made a point of celebrating together. We kept in touch with phone calls. These could get rather long since there were many children and grandchildren to keep track of.
Brenda also kept me supplied with email jokes which I enjoyed forwarding to other friends.
I am thankful and grateful for our years of friendship. I will miss her wonderful sense of humor and amusing stories .
Ethan and I extend our sincere condolences to her entire family.

I can not believe it! For months, I was sending her text phone messages but did not hear from her. I left a voice message yesterday also. Brenda had been a very dear friend whom I met at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in 1980s. She was an expert on PTSD especially among the Vietnam Veterans. I learned a lot from her. Over the years we developed a deep friendship. I was disturbed to not hear from her. May she rest in peace! May her family get the strength to bear this deep loss!

Brenda was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved them very much. I spent many times with her, going to lunch and talking for ever on the phone. She will be truly missed by me and my family. God Speed, Brenda
