Blanche Rudy Obituary

Rudy, Blanche M. 86, lifelong resident of Chicago, died July 7, 2004, at Alpine Fireside Health Center in Rockford, IL. Blanche was one of triplets born March 6, 1918, to Sol and Mildred (Weinzimmer) Rudy of Chicago. Blanche, Sylvia and Lester received national attention at birth and were dubbed the "Thrift Stamp Triplets", they each were presented with $5.00 thrift stamp (bond) and a congratulatory letter from President Woodrow Wilson. Blanche graduated from Roosevelt High School in Chicago in 1935; she worked for the United States government during World War II and for many years thereafter. After retiring from federal employment, she was employed by Detex Corporation. Blanche is survived by her brother, Dr. Lester H. (Ruth Jean) Rudy and niece, Sherri Rudy, all of Rockford.
