Beverly A. (Trimmer) Sheldon, 73, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 at The Brethren Home at Cross Keys Village. She was the wife of the late Karl R. Sheldon.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 3420 N. Susquehanna Trail, York. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements.
Born November 27, 1942 in York a daughter of the late Dorothy (Trimmer) Beaverson and the late Frederick Boyer, she was a 1960 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Mrs. Sheldon began her career at York Telephone Co. and retired from GTE after 29 years. She then worked at the former Stein Flower Shop. Beverly enjoyed going to yard sales, was an avid reader, loved music and spending time with the children in her family. She had also served in the PA Army National Guard.
Mrs. Sheldon is survived by her aunt, Ruth Glatfelter of York; cousins and family in Maine, North Carolina, and PA.
