Bill and Sharon, I had not talked to Beth since the 17th but my daughters and I had hoped to visit her again after the new year. I just found out today. I will miss her terribly but we can all take comfort in the fact that she is no longer in pain and is in a better place. Wish I would have found out sooner, we would have been at the memorial. Our prayers go out to you both and Ashlee and Phil. God Bless You, De'Anna and Family

I met Beth at a young and very vulnerable age- about 14-15 years old. I met her through mutual friends and we kinda hit it off right away. I lived in Chicago but near the Harwood Heights border and she was near Gladstone Park....... about a 45 minute walk...back in the day..We had no cell phones or pagers then so she was worth the time to see if she was home or around the neighborhood. Most times it was a long weekend or holiday and she would be in Rhinelander WI but it seemed worth a shot to get some face time with her! As a teen I hated Rhinelander Wisconsin! Only because I was a typical selfish child!..... when she was in town and home and settled I remember the many late night telephone conversations we had "very quietly" so we didn't wake our sleeping parents... about the "BOYS" we liked and there was one in particular I had a HUGE CRUSH on that she was dear friends with.... if not for Beth... I would have been a basket case!!....First crushes are so hard at that age!! Thank goodness for good friends like Beth to get us through! At that time, being young, immature and insecure I never felt like I really belonged with our "crowd" because I didn't go to the same grammar school. She never made me feel that I didn't 'belong' or fit in. She loved me and accepted me for who and what I was. She never judged me and loved me and 'friended' me unconditionally. It was an awkward age and time.....but she mattered to me and I mattered to her and this is how I remember her and always will. She was an amazing "soul" from the time God created her and I am heartbroken she is gone and have many regrets that I didn't try harder to spend time with her....I didn't know any better... and I have been troubled for days and will be for years over this... but I want to tell the world - because I never told her - what she meant to me and the positive impact she had on my childhood. I smile when I imagine what an impact on this world she must have had as an adult and regret missing it... but I take comfort in knowing I will see her again because God only picks the most beautiful flowers from his garden and she was a Blue Ribbon!! Bless your beautiful soul Beth you will live on and on in my heart and I aspire to love in life the way you loved...fearlessly and unconditionally......that's what I remember and my truth about you!! Our hearts ache for you - Bless You and may you Rest in Peace.

I was so sad to hear of Beths passing. I knew Beth from Luther North, she was like a big sis to me! Ashlee, Phil, Sharon and Bill, you will all remain in my prayers! There are no words to comfort you at a time like this, but knowing she is at peace and in a better place, will hopefully give you some comfort.
