I'll never forget him because I was so afraid to have surgery many many years ago. He asked me "can I pray with you"? I was so relieved and overjoyed that he cared that much.
I am a better person for having known him. I also remember his wife Tina,I'm pretty sure she was a nurse. I was so blessed by her as well. Although I am much older now, time has moved on, but I have not forgotten these people. I am saddened to hear that Bernies presence is no longer here, but I know he is rejoicing in heaven as he is with the Lord.
God bless the Holland family.

Mrs. Holland and family...I am so sorry to hear about your husband and father passing. I just found out this afternoon, thanks to the phone call from Mrs. Holland. Bernie was truly and man of
God. His deep faith, love of the scriptures are upper most in my mind. He was an outstanding love of his fellow man, especially you, Ernestine and family. I will remember Bernie in my daily prayers. I pray that the Good and forgive Lord will hold Bernie in the palm of His hand...God Bless

While I understand all the scriptural references to being absent from the body is to be present with Christ. I also understand the emotions of the heart and knowing what a wonderful person Bernie was to human life. I will miss you Bernie, my life was better knowing that our paths crossed. Pastor, Brenda K. Cousin Bernie, I know Aunt Maude and Uncle "Toy", Bernie II, Weida and Van were at the Gate to greet you. "Doc" was peeking around to see the crowd before he came to start the jokes. The laughter on The Other Side will calm down after all the jokes and Family stories are told. We on this side wish we had a stethoscope to listen. To all the kin, my heart knows your pain. Hold onto God's Hand. All things in God's Time.

Bernie, You were there @ the birth of both of our kids . Funny thing is that we have known you since we were just kids ourselves. Your pain and suffering is over and we can be sure that you are rejoicing in Heaven right now.
