I am saddened to learn that Barbara has passed, ironically on my birthday. I sat next to Barbara for a couple of years at the law firm of Rudnick and Wolff. She and I made three trips together, the first a cruise to the Amazon and another to Iceland. We also went to DC together to visit a friend we had met on the Amazon cruise. Barbara was a wonderful traveling companion and workmate. I had lost touch with her after she and Mr. Bordell left the firm. I had been wondering about her so I Google her name and learned she had passed.
*My name was Ailika Tayor at that time. I have remarried since.

It's easy to say what I know to be true. Barb was a friend: kind, generous, loving, hard working, fun, and fair to all that knew her. She came to Arizona last fall to be a friend and bring a little Chicago to our new home. When we lived in Chicago, she was our companion in so many things. We worked, played, ate, and talked together. This is the definition of a friend. We miss her.

Barbara was a constant source of energy and organization at Bethany Church. Along with Ernie and Virginia Gadzos, Bill Strauss, and Richard Winkelman, she welcomed Elaine and I on our first visit to Bethany as a young and newly assigned pastor. Her faithful service to her God and Savior for so many years and in so many capacities, her compassion and care for others and her gracious good nature will be remembered by all who knew her. Praise God for his blessings to her and through her in Christ Jesus! Donald & Elaine Smith and family

Barbara -- I'll always cherish the memories of our friendship. Will miss our chats, our discussions, our laughter. No more struggles for you; may you find contentment in your eternal peace with our Lord. Condolences to all your family and friends.
