Dear Kenealy Family,

I was saddened to learn of Barb's passing. I worked with her at The Southtown Newspaper in the late 80's to early 90's. I remember Barb to be a sweet and funny lady who never had an unkind word for anyone. One memory is of Barb comming into work and I would say "It's Barbara Kenealy!" and she would reply "Kenealy,Canelli(spelling?), cannoli,spaghetti." I'm hoping this is some family saying that will bring a happy memory to you. We had kept in touch for some time with the yearly Christmas card and I'm sorry I never had a chance to visit her at your bar. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Dear Jim and Family:

Even though I have not seen you in many years, my brother Eddie Dunne, has always kept our family informed about you and your family over the years. You know how much my brother cherishes your friendship and how he is grieving with you at this most sad and difficult time. I am sure Eddie has known Barbara for almost as long as he has known you, Jim. I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved wife - you have my deepest sympathy and that of the entire Dunne family.

Barbara was a beautiful loving daughter and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. When I found out she had cancer I prayed that she would not suffer and I am finding comfort in knowing GOD answered my prayers.. She is waiting for me in heaven. I am her mother- Tracy

Dear Jim and Family;

It is so hard to let go of someone you have shared so much with. Words can't say what is in your heart but I sure will always be her Aunty Vivian. I will treasure the times we had together, from childhood, teenager, mother and grandmother. She was so proud of her family and their outings and "little Jake" when he was born. Oh, I have so many good memories. Thank you Jim and family for letting me have a little bit of her precious time.. I know she loved you all very much and I am grieving with you. I wish I could have met you girls you were so precious and caring to her and the boys, too. Jim, what can I say that hasn't been said. I wish I could bring you that cup of coffee after my walks. Barb will always be with you guys, no matter what. God Bless each and every one of you.

Dear Kenealy Family,

Pease accept our sympathies for your loss. Barb was so full of life. We cousins write of her smiling and laughing – it is sure true. I can’t ever remember seeing her in a bad mood. As I was growing up, she was the older cousin I wanted to emulate. I thought she was so cool.

I think we were all blessed for having her in our lives.

Love,

Dear Jim & Family,

Just wanted to let you know you are in our prayers and thoughts. I feel like I got closer to Barb through her e-mails she sent to my mom (Vivian). She always seemed to put others before her. What I remember most about cousin Barb was her laugh and a beautiful smile! In loving memory, Connie & Al Fox

Dear Jim,children, Thelma and Judie:

Though I am 2000 miles away, please know that I am sorely grieving with you during this solemn time. Barbara and I were first cousins. Though time and distance created a gulf between us after high school, I never forgot her. I always remebered her to be a caring, humble, and warm human being. The last time I saw Barbara was in the late 70's in CA. She was visiting her mom and sister Judie. I will always cherish her. My prayers are with each one of you. May the Holy Spirit bring you the comfort you so need at this time. And may Barbara's time with you on earth forever be celebrated in your hearts and minds. It is also my greatest hope that her loving memory will draw you forever closer to Jesus Christ our precious Savior. James
