Augusta McCoy Obituary
Augusta Belle McCoy, 73, of 6425 Wilkesboro Hwy. died Friday evening at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Born in Dickerson County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Harrison McCoy and Grace Holbrook McCoy. She was a homemaker and a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gil Goodin and his wife, Joy of Moravian Falls, N.C., two daughters, Teresa Swanner of Union Grove and Regina G. Gregory of North Wilkesboro. Also surviving are three brothers, O.C., Ray and Sam McCoy all of Morganton and a sister, Faye Rasnick of Shelby. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Monday at Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. R. C. Redmond officiating.There will be no visitation. Condolences may be sent to the family on-line at www.legacy.com. Reavis Funeal Home of Harmony is entrusted with the arrangements.

We all send our deepest sympathies to the McCoy family. Our hearts go out to Teresa and Sam. Even though many of us did not know Mrs. McCoy, we feel as if we should, since her residence was so close to our shop. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. Again, we extend our condolences.
