Taylor, Arthur Reverend Arthur Taylor passed away at the age of 89 on June 17, 2018. He was the founder and pastor of Christ Temple MB Church, 41 W 95th Street in Chicago, IL, for 57 years. Pastor Taylor, who mentored many ministers in Chicago, was one of the most profound and prominent African-American pastors - known for his powerful preaching, unforgettable singing and kind heart. His beloved wife of 70 years, Mattie V. Taylor, preceded him in death on June 2, 2018. He was the loving father of seven children, grandfather to nine and great-grandfather to eight. Lying in State on Friday, June 29, 2017, 2pm 8pm at Christ Temple MB Church (41 W 95th St, Chicago, IL).
