Christmann, Arthur A. age 74, of Northbrook. President of Christmann Construction. Beloved husband of Iva; loving father of Arthur E. (Marilyn), Susan (Brian) Edwards and Lynn; cherished grandfather of Jack, Elizabeth and Daniel Christmann, Brian, Kathleen, Meghan and Jennifer Edwards; dear brother of Kathleen (Robert) Partlow. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m., at Haben Funeral Home & Crematory, 8057 Niles Center Rd., Skokie. Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass, Thursday, at 11:15 a.m., at St. Norbert Church, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral Info: 847-673-6111.

Dear Iva, Art, Jr., Susan, Lynn and Kathy. Though I was able to see you at the chapel, you will never know how I felt. Art and Iva were the Patriarch and Matriarch of our family. Art walked me down the aisle when I got married and for that I will be ever so grateful. I am so very sad that I never had the chance to tell him what he really meant to me. He has and will always be in my heart. Though Bill, Kris and Kim were not able to pay their condolences in person, they have and will always remember Uncle Art with a smile.
Remember God will give you each strength and guide you through the days and weeks ahead.

Dear Iva, Art, Sue & Lynn and Families- It's never easy when you lose someone larger than life, and that's what Art was..he was a rock, someone who would always be there. Our hearts & prayers are with each of you, Art will be missed by everyone, but his legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren.

Aunt Iva and Family: we were so sorry to hear of Uncle Art's death. I have many fond memories of your trips back to Iowa and the hospitality you showed us whenever we visited your home. Iva & Family,
We were very sadden when we recieved the call that Art had passed away. We are sure that you all have so many great memories.
I am sure that Grandpa Hoyer and Art have alot of stories to catch up on. Over the many years we all have had fond memories, and had some very cherished times.
