Even though it has been over 15 years since we have seen anyone from the Regalado family, my family was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Regalado's passing. I remember him teasing my sister and I after school and making fun of me for having Holly try to iron my hair. : ) He was always good to us when we were kids. God bless.

I can't think of a Mr. R story that doesn't make me laugh. Because he was the man he was, he met Mrs. R. Because they met they had two daughters, because they had two daughters my brother married one and will never be alone, because he married Holly, I have two beautiful sisters in law....the sisters I never had biologically. Thank you Mr. R for being who you were!

Dear Heather and Holly,
Your Dad fought the fight and never gave up. He had a great out look on life right to the end. I remember when we spent the weekend at the river house. I knew he enjoyed the wave runners and he never wanted to come in except for gas.My fuel bill hit the record for that year. I will always keep the photo on my desk of Tony riding that blue Yamaha wave runner. At first he was very cautious. Lets say the first hour. After that I knew he was hooked. That weekend he was kind for stating the dinner I made that weekend was great. The time your Dad and I decided to get into shape in the early 70's Army vs Marine Corps introduced us to world class running. We ran to my house from his and then decided to have a drink known only to us as the Navy Grog. We laughed about that for years. We can not remember who drove him back to his house. I remember his 60th birthday when he stayed at my river house(never stating it was his birthday) until that day when I drove him back to his home. He was caught totally off guard. He said who the hell is in my yard. Good job ladies.Yes we will miss Tony and just yesterday at the river house I invisioned him racing down the river in that Blue Yamaha. I flew my American flag over looking the river in honor for his service to his country. Both Kimberly and I will miss him.We know he is now with your Mom.

Kidney Brothers Tony & Ron chat at Clinic

Ron Lindsey

November 1, 2008

We only knew tony for a short time in his life, yet we shared a common bond. I had a kidney transplant on June 5, 2008, just 6 hours after Tony had his transplant. We had crossed paths once before, at a hotel seminar about being a kidney donor. My wife was interested in being my donor, and as we learned that day, Tony's daughters were also interested in being donors.
Months later, we would meet again at Loyola, after we both had our surgery. We soon found out that each of us had received a kidney from the same donor. As we liked to say " kidney brothers from other mothers". Eventhough we didn't know each other for several years, we understood each in a way no one else could. My wife, Murna and I want to thank Heather and Holly for helping us to stay in contact over the past few, very difficult, months. You both will be in our hearts forever, you have touched us in a very special way. If ever over in our neck of the woods, stop by.
Hugs for both of you from both of us: Ron and Murna Lindsey
