Anthony Munari Obituary

He will be greatly missed.

YOUR FATHER CAME TO BE, NOT ONLY A BUSINESS ASSOCIATE, BUT A GOOD FRIEND. IN HIS CAPACITY AS LU265'S BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE AS WELL AS HEALTH & WELFARE TRUSTEE, HE HAD REASON TO DEAL WITH ALL FOUR OF US AT THE PAINTERS BENEFITS OFFICE. HE OFTEN REFERRED TO HIMSELF AS "JUST A PAINTER FROM BUMTOWN" BUT HE WAS SO VERY MUCH MORE. HE WAS A VERY SAVVY AND CARING MAN, ONE WHO WILL BE GREATLY, GREATLY MISSED. WE CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MUCH HIS FAMILY WILL MISS HIM. YOU ARE IN OUR PRAYERS. OUR LOVE TO ALL OF YOU.

ANTHONY MUNARI WAS A VERY VITAL PART OF THE CHICAGO PAINTERS & DECORATORS UNION AND PAINTERS LOCAL 265. KNOWING HIM THESE PAST TEN YEARS HAS BEEN AN HONOR AND A PLEASURE. HE WILL BE MISSED BEYOND BELIEF. OUR SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO YOU AND ALL THE FAMILY THAT HE WAS SO PROUD OF.

I have know Tony for over thirty years. I worked with Tony during my

aprenticeship he was A big help!

He helped me get the job with the University of Illinois going on 24 years now. For me its A loss of A good friend!

I am a retired employee of Cook County. In my capacities as Hearing Officer [for Cook County] and Labor Relations Manager [at Oak Forest Hospital], I knew Mr. Munari "Tony" as a Representative of the Painters Union and later as President. Mr. Muniari was a very Caring and Honorable man. He gave his All when he came to the aid of his union members. I liked and respected him. I will always remember him. My prayers are with his family.
