To the Calkins Family,

Dear Calkins and Riley family,

I was deeply saddened to hear the devastating news of Anna Mae passing away. No one will truly know what Anna Mae meant to me when I was a little girl. At Bridge school, we talked and played a lot. Over the years, As I grew up, I remembered Anna Mae. I remembered her voice and how she looked when I knew her. I will never forget her kind spirit. I will never forget her. I wanted her to meet my daughter Rece. Anna Mae is the most wonderful person I have ever met in my entire life and I just wanted to share that with the family. I am so sorry for your loss. If she can touch someone who is not even family this much then I cannot even imagine how deep your sorrows are at this time. I am so sorry for your loss. Our prayers and and thought are with you.

I was so saddened to learn that your wonderful wife and mother had passed away. How blessed you were to be loved by such an incredible woman. She loved all of you so much. That will never change!
I remember the kindness and compassion she shared with me on the beach when I tearfully told her that my mom had passed away. She always made me feel that she was so happy to see us at the beach. Powers Lake won't be the same without her welcoming grace!
I'm sorry that you are experiencing this pain. I know how much it hurts! I also know that your mom will always love all of you.
Mr. Calkins, I am especially thinking about you. I'm sure you miss your beautiful bride! Your love for each other was evident in the beautiful family you shared . I pray that God will bless you all with memories that give you strength. I'll miss her on the beach!

I worked at the Schneider School with Anna Mae and she was always a delight. I enjoyed hearing about all of you and how proud she was of each and every one of you. She was a terrific lady and I always enjoyed her company.

Dear Calkins and Riley Families, I cannot tell you how saddened we are by Anna Mae's death. My memories of her are very old and very special. I still can visualize her in the "Court" of girls for the May Crowning at OLS in 1945! I thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world. We shared the same Birthday so I felt special. Uncle Billy and children, A great lady has left us, but has gone to a better place to watch over all of us. I can't help but think that she and Dan are up there looking down on us and discussing how we should be doing this and that. She will be missed terribly.
