Sorry for the loss of your father .

I attended Emmet School with Andy & remembered him as a fun loving classmate. His father owned a grocery store down & across the street where we lived on Madison st. We lived in a 2 flat bldg & often played marbles in the empty car lot next to our house. I remembered Andy had a particular talent for hitting the marbles with great force & accuracy. I was totally impressed! I don't think he participated in many of our "alley games" but when he was around he was a happy kid. He sent me a valentine one year with a few deer on it. I thought of it as kind of special. It was probably sent without thought but it made my day & I remember it all these years.
I'm sorry to hear of his passing and had been thinking of him lately wondering what he was doing. I know you will miss your loved one. My condolences to all who knew & loved him.

I am very sad with Andy's passed away. I send my deepest condolences to Andy's family. Andy was my second cousin. His mother and my father were first cousins, from Agios Petros village in Peloponissos - Greece

Uncle Andy was a one of a kind. I have many fond memories of him picking me up at Grandma's house to take a drive in his bread truck. He loved life and made it a lot of fun for us.

Andy, you were always a class act-- Kind, gracious and caring. Your dad and my dad came from the same village in Greece and ran their grocery store businesses on Chicago's West Madison St. within blocks of one another. Not only were they good friends, but our families were also close. You always impressed me as a sincere, loving person. Thank you for for your many kindnesses over the years. May God keep you well and watch over your family.

Uncle Andy, I will alway remember your laugh - the sound of it and the way you put your whole body into it. Even as I write about your contagious laugh now, it makes me smile. I sure will miss that laugh at the Christmas Eve parties. Love you.
