Andre Moroz Obituary

I dont know if many people remember or are even aware that Andre was an amazing musician. He also had excellent technical abilities for recording musical performances. I met him when I was 15 years old. He played a variety of musical instruments including guitar, electric bass guitar and drums. He was particularly good on the piano. He also was a good song writer for a young teenager. I have very fond memories of him and I sitting at the piano in his parents basement writing songs and practicing. I played an acoustic guitar while he played the piano. His wonderful songs are embedded in my memory and I think of them often. Unfortunately, our recordings with drummer Jerry Holec (that Andre engineered) disappeared 44 years ago. The world will never hear the recordings of our original songs, but in my opinion, they were quite good for several teenagers making music in the early 1970s. He was without a doubt one of my greatest musical heroes and a major influence on my personal work in music. I will always be grateful for what he taught me and I will never forget him.

Today was both a sad and happy day. Sad that we will no longer have Andre in our lives. Happy that he found such a peaceful lifestyle the past 14 years. May God give Eva and her family the strength to recover from the grief. May his memories have a special place in your hearts.

I am deeply saddened by Andre's passing. He has a special place in my heart as his first wife (Brian's mom). My condolences to his family and especially to Eva. I pray God gives you the strength to carry on. I pray Andre will rest in peace.
