Rodriguez-Carrasquillo, Amelia Age 83, of Chicago, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2016. Beloved wife for 34 years to Carmelo C. Carrasquillo; loving mother of Louie (Rita) Velez, Robert (Maria) Velez, Irma (Tony) Flores, Ralph (Rhoda) Velez, Jorge Velez, Rose Velez, Priscilla (Joe) Rodriguez, Maria (Martin) Sanchez, and Adrian Velez; proud grandmother of 20; dearest great-grandmother of 25; devoted great-great-grandmother of 3; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; cherished sister of Dalys and Angelina.Preceded in death by her parents, Ciprian and Mercedes Rodriguez and her brothers, Papo and Adrian and her sister, Rita. Amelia was a great cook and a great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of Community Christian Church and was a devoted Christian honoring Christ every day of her life. Amelia was always surrounded by her loving family. She was always seen walking the neighborhood with her true love Carmelo. Amelia was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
