Alvina Malizia Obituary

Malizia, Alvina L. 95, of Bensenville, IL, born September 3, 1920 in Kirksville, MO, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2016. She attended Ripley High School in Iowa. She retired in 1982 from Singer/Sunbeam Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Malizia; her sister, Lenora Howard; and her brothers, Norman, Earl, and Ernie Malizia. She is survived by nieces, Lynn, Susan (Mark Dittrich), Joann, and Kimberly Malizia; and nephews, Jeff (Janelle), Bill, Dean (Lynne), and Dave Malizia and Fred (Rosemary), Dan (Sandy), and Steve Howard. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jean and Helen Malizia and Maxine Moran; as well as many great-nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to her loving friends, Fran and John for their warmth and love over the years and to caregiver, Jenny and her husband for their dedication and compassion. Lying in State Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 254 N. Wood Dale Road, Wood Dale, IL. Interment Saint Charles Cemetery, Bevier, Missouri.
