Alice von der Heydt Obituary
von der Heydt, Alice L. (nee Kennedy), age 89, of Wheaton formerly of Glen Ellyn. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Karl E. DDS; loving mother of Sue Ann von der Heydt Wolsi, Philip (Barbara Ann) and James (Anne); cherished grandmother of seven and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her brothers Donald & Maxwell Kennedy. No visitation. Memorial service Saturday, 2 p.m. at Wyndemere Auditorium, 200 Wyndemere Circle, Wheaton. Memorials in lieu of flowers to either CNS Hospice, 690 E. North Avenue, Carol Stream, IL, 60188 or the American Heart Association, Memorials & Tributes Lockbox, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674, appreciated. Arrangements are with the: Leonard Memorial Home, Ltd. of Glen Ellyn 630-469-0032.

I remember Mrs. vdH's friendly nature, kind hospitality, jovial chuckle, and chatty neighborliness. I am a long-time friend of her daughter Sue, and my parents were friends of Alice and Karl over many years. This was a long relationship on Earth.... to be continued in Heaven!
