Alice Mallory Obituary

Mallory, Alice Glennon 88, of LaGrange Park, IL, died on October 4, 2005. She was born November 19, 1916, outside of Bement, IL on the farm of Wil Glennon and Kate Monaghan Glennon. She attended a Country Grade School in Piatt County, IL, graduated from Bement High School, attended the University of Illinois and graduated Phi Beta Phi with highest honors in 1939. She and her husband Charles spent their retirement years in Scottsdale, AZ. Alice moved to Bethlehem Woods Retirement Center, LaGrange Park, IL in January of 2002. Alice is survived by her children Mary Elizabeth Hart of St. Joseph, MO, Margaret Ann Hayes of Kansas City, MO, and Charles Thomas Mallory of Downers Grove, IL, as well as her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Wil and Kate Glennon, her husband Charles N. Mallory, her brothers, John Glennon, Edward Glennon, Robert Glennon, Richard Glennon and her sisters, Mary Glennon and Rose Ellen Glennon Sanford. Visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, IL. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ivesdale, IL, followed by interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery Ivesdale, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Cemetery, 11 S. Street, Ivesdale, IL, 61851 appreciated. Funeral home phone 708-352-6500.
