Alfred Maltese Obituary

Maltese, Alfred C. Alfred "Al" C. Maltese, age 55, passed away at his home in Markham, March 4. Survived by his wife of 25 years, Renee (nee Caswell); daughter, Tina; son, Timothy; siblings, Sue (Steve) Gansel, Stephen (Linda), Connie (Jerry) Warner, and Andrew; Stepmother, Doreen, cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by mother, Alice and father, Alfred F. Maltese. Al was a Hillcrest High graduate, served in the U.S. Army, 501 USA Arty. Det., after which he was an industrial welder and for the last three years a custodian at Bremen High School. Visitation, Thursday, March 6, from 2 to 9 at Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 183rd Street, Tinley Park, IL. Friday, Prayer service at 9 a.m. to St. Gerard Majella in Markham for Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. For info. (708) 444-2266.

I am so blessed to have met such a wonderful person like AL. I remember the first time I met him at the Cancer Center we were both watching the Ducks on the pond and I shared my cancer journey with him. I gave AL a big hug and told him that I understood everything he was facing. He was a wonderful person and I will never forget Him.
