Robin, Am so sorry and I share your sense of loss. My dad passed this year, as well. Please know that my prayers are that comfort and peace abound for you and your family in this time of transition and that joyous memories will bring strength as you love and lean on each other thru these days.

Al gave my brother and me free pumpkins on Halloween! That was in the early 50s in South Shore. I'll never forget him swaddled in his white apron with a pencil behind his ear! Jerry Garfield

My heartfelt condolences to my longtime friend Robin and her family. My memories of Al standing behind that deli counter on the South Side are so vivid that I can almost smell the corned beef. What a delightful man he was. He will be missed by so many.
