I was the receptionist at Vulcan Tube way back in the early '80s. I went through a particularly hard personal time while working there. During that time, Aldo wrote me a letter of encouragement that meant so much to me because I had such respect him. His willingness to take the time to write me shows he was a man of great sympathy and compassion for others. He had a real impact on my life and I am so sorry that he passed. Please accept my deepest heartfelt sympathy for his family and may God bless you in this painful time.

I am sorry for your loss. Aldo was a great man who left his mark on this earth. Our Dads were good friends and I'm sure if there is politics and pizza in heaven they are already teaming up. It's ironic our children were born on the same day and both proud grandfathers were there to share the moment. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Their paths crossed in Springfield over the years, around the rail in the capital.
God bless all.

Doug - Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. My father passed away this year...it was very bewildering experience.
Your father was a tremendous man with a great spirit and that will live on in the family he loved and raised so well.
I'll leave you with a phrase that was very helpful to our family and is now inscribed on my Father's memorial.
"For those who live in Christ, there never is a last farewell."
Again, blessings to you and your family.

My deepest sympathies on the loss of a man who loved to make you smile. I can picture being in the kitchen watching Aldo making homemade gravy and saying, "Come hear! You'll need to know how to do this someday." I'm smiling just thinking about it. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Friends~
Among Aldo's many contributions to society would be his ardent support that gained passage of the IL Education for Homeless Children Act of 1994. His sponsorship led the way for this law to become a model for the nation and the key to school doors for thousands of homeless students.
He was a delight to work with and his contribution will be long remembered by those of us who worked closely with him on this issue.
My sympathy to his family and loved ones.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of former Senator DeAngelis. The Senator granted me a General Assembly scholarship about 25 years ago which was key in enabling me to be able to attend medical school at the University of Illinois. I am forever grateful for his kindness. Sincerely, Dr. William Maloney
