Albert Meuleners Obituary

Meuleners Albert B. Meuleners, of Fort Washington, died Jan. 17, 2004, at home from heart failure. He was 74. Born in Cologne, MN, he was the son of the late Albert & Veronica Meuleners. he was the husband of Frances L. (Lindstrand) Meuleners for 50 years. Mr. Meuleners was a graduate of the University of MN. He was an executive and chief executive officer of computer manufacturing companies including Sperry Univac, later Unisys, and Information Magnetics. Mr. Meuleners retired in 1991. He was a veteran of the US Army and US Naval Reserves and served in the Korean War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Meuleners is survived by 4 sons, Michael Meuleners of Fort Washington, Robert Meuleners & his wife Theresa of Conshohocken, Jon Meuleners & his wife Valerie of Herndon, VA and Daniel Meuleners & his wife Linda of Harleysville; 2 daughters, Theresa Wiese & her husband John of Dresher and Mary Brown & her husband Donald of Ambler; and 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Richard Meuleners & his wife Patricia of New Brighton, MN and James Meuleners of Minneapolis, MN; and a sister, Mary Sue Green of Minneapolis, MN. Mr. Meuleners was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Meuleners and Thomas Meuleners; and a sister, Joanne Schlechter. A memorial service was held Jan. 24 in Dresher, PA. Another service will be held in Minnesota later this year. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mr. Meuleners' name to Bethany Christian Services, 550 Pinetown Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
