Jim flew with my Dad in World War II. After my Dad died, my friend Paul and I came to Chicago to visit Jim. I very much loved meeting him and hearing all his stories about his times with my Dad. And a wonderful surprise of that trip was meeting Adeline. She was such a wonderful lady. Very kind. I truly enjoyed meeting her and am sorry for your family's loss.

How awful to lose such a wonderful and loving person to so many, though she lives on in the faces, souls, and memories of her family and friends. Wish I could have known her better, though I heard so many stories about the infamous Skippy and Grampa I feel as though I do....my sympathies to everyone.

I will always remember your Mother with her special smile, whether it was with a conversation or just a gentle wave as I passed by. I know I will miss her swinging on the front porch!

I will miss Skippy so much but I know she is having a great time in Heaven sitting on her swing. I'm going to miss seeing her little curly white-haired self everytime I go to the city. The littlest things remind me of her and I love her so much. :)

Skippy wll always be fondly remembered. I remember when Jenny was trying to eat her delicious spaghetti with her newly pierced tongue, and hide it from her...and how mad she was when she found out! But, instead of staying angry, she got Jenny a glass of ice for her swollen tongue so she could eat better.
Skippy introduced me to sour lettuce in her quaint kitchen after school, and would partake in making fun of my ugly toes. : ) She will always be remembered as a kind-hearted lady, and my deepest sympathies go out to her family. I can only wish I was around more in the latter years.

Skippy thought it was funny that I would eat the candy from the candy dish. So whenever I would come over, the dish would be full and she would ask me if I wanted some candy. So I would take some. And then she would laugh at me! RIP Skippy.

Skippy was the best gramma anyone could have. She was always there when you needed her. She helped raise me. If not for her I would never know the joys of sour lettuce. I'm glad she taught me how to make it. Everytime I make a bowl I will think of her smiling face and her fuzzy little head. I will miss her very much.

Mrs. Jamrock was always very kind to me; the holidays especially simply won't be the same without her great food and even better company. Rest in Peace.

Adeline Jamrock, better known to me simply as Skippy, was one of the kindest women I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She graciously treated me as an extended member of the family. Skippy radiated joy, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed, but, infinitely more, she will be fondly remembered.
