Dear Michael, Cari, Kenny, Julie and Mrs Sacks,
I am very sorry for your loss. The Sacks family has always been very gracious.
I worked at Country Kitchen for over twenty years. I remember one day when Mr Sacks, Michael and Kenny came in for breakfast. You had a good time laughing with each other while eating. I specifically remember that day because it made me happy to see your father enjoying his time with his sons.
God has Blessed you greatly. I'm glad you had him for as long as you did. I wish he could have stayed with you longer. May you know God's love and comfort at this time.
Sincerely,
Sheryl Habel.

My sincere condolences to the Sacks family. Lee was my boss from 1983-1990, and he was wonderful to work with. Many people pass through your life, but some stay with you. I am sad for his passing but grateful I knew him and will always remember him with respect and fondness.

Dear Aunt Elise, Michael, and Kenny:
I want to offer my deepest condolences at the passing of Uncle Lee. I am so sorry for your loss.
I have many, many fond memories of him from my early childhood. Playing catch with him and my dad across the lawns in front of our houses on Kedvale Avenue- the pride at finally (as the youngest) being able to throw the ball across both lawns. I can distinctly recall to this day one summer evening Uncle Lee gathered the four of us little boys in his lap in your backyard to tell us a scary story, which after a long and involved lead up, ended with a surprise silly ending and much tickling. I remember playing games with him in your basement at countless sleepovers.
For me Uncle Lee was a caring and involved and kind and funny and sweet father figure in the shtetl that was our Lincolnwood neighborhood. I can only hope that some of Uncle Lee rubbed off on me as a father of two boys. He certainly made a lasting impression on me as I think about him now.
Perhaps I can also credit his time in the Navy as contributing in part to my decision, against my mom's wishes, for this nice Jewish boy to join the Marines, I'll leave that to him to discuss with her now.
My heart goes out to all of you at this terribly difficult time. Sending much love and sympathy. May his memory be a blessing. Much love,
Jon(ny) Yellen
