Bland Sr., Walter M. Retired Army, CSM, age 72, at rest December 29, 2007, beloved husband of JoAnne, devoted father of Walter Jr. and Sharon (Cartman), proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Survived by loving sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., January 4, 2008, at Boones Funeral Services, 3240 W. 79th St., Chicago, IL, 60652. Memorial Services will be held at Spring Hill Baptist Church, Blackstone Virginia.

JoAnne & Children: Walter was truly a professional and loved by all in the 85th Division military family. Please let all of your wonderful memories of him comfort you. Although we haven't seen one another in years I too will miss him. He was my Hero too!!!
