Amato, Vincent "Ikey" age 80, beloved husband of the late Carmella (nee Bufano), loving father of Diane (Ted) Conway, Fred (Margaret) Amato, Frank "Bosco" Amato and Rose Ann (Tim) Kavanaugh, devoted grandfather of Katie and David Conway, Beth (Vince) Ramirez, Andrea Amato and Megan and Tim Kavanaugh, dear brother of Nancy (Nick) DeLouise, Patsy (Frank) Valentini and Florence Kotonias, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Veteran of U.S. Navy WWII. Retired employee of Wisconsin Steel & Chicago Board of Education. Visitation Monday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services Tuesday, at 9:30 a.m., from the Elmwood Chapel, 11200 S. Ewing Ave., Chicago, to Church of the Annunciata. Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. 773-731-2749

Diane and family-
I was so sorry to hear about your dad - I was just asking Ted how he was doing a few weeks ago. I have many nice memories of Mr. Amato - most of all I remember always thinking that he so obviously loved his family and especially his grandkids. You all gave him much joy.
