Beloved husband of Dorothy for 67 wonderful years; loving father of Tom (Janet), Celeste (Steven) Mohr and Kris (Bobby) Husch; dear grandfather of Sheila (David), Marlene (Rocky), Jennifer (Phil), the late Henry, Jeff (Marie) and Jill; fond great-grandfather of Jonathan, Zachary, Angeline and Lia Marie; brother of Virgil (late Barb) Van Winkle and the late Wynetta (late Fred) Kuster; brother-in-law of Diane (Ray) Lewandowski and the late Art (late Rosemarie) Rudy; uncle and friend of many. Visitation Monday, 3 to 9pm, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers Tuesday, 9:15am, from the funeral home to St. Louise de Marillac Church, LaGrange Park, for Mass at 10am. Entombment Christ the King Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Thomas was the owner of Mr. Van's in LaGrange since 1963 and a WWII Army Veteran. Info 708-352-6500.

Dorothy, I am so sorry to hear about Tom. He was a great guy, wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. I remember him dancing at the weddings in Chicago and Detroit. Know that we are thinking and praying for you. Love, Chris Rudy Unwin
