dear manny,
i remember riding horses with stacy when we were in grade school. the freedom of being out at the stables and riding was wonderful. we felt so grown up and independent. five years ago jodi organized a dinner for a few of us old glenoe kids.. jodi, bonnie, joe, stacy and i shared a wonderful evening full of memories, new and old. i hold that evening close, knowing the meaning of time flies. please know that your family is in my heart and prayers. peace and love, stephanie fran yeager

Dear Tabachnik family,
I knew Stacy in grade school. She was both cool and kind. Our desks were next to each other in 3rd grade and we would get in trouble for talking as she patiently tried to explain to me the intricacies of the playground social milieu.
Twenty-five years went by before the first time I saw her since junior high. I was not at all surprised by what a warm, lovely woman she had become. How wonderful it was to reconnect.
I will always remember her fondly and keep you all in my thoughts.

Dear June and Manny.....Having Stacy in my life for 43 years was a blessing and I have many beautiful memories of an adoring and wonderful friend. I will miss our 10:00-10:30 nightly chats that we started in 7th grade, and will miss knowing she was always there with her warm and loving ways. She will always have a very special place in my heart, a most beautiful woman, inside and out.
Though it makes no sense to me why she passed so soon, I know she is at peace, and I wish the same to both of you during this difficult time.
With sympathy and love,
Jodi

Dear Manny and June, please accept my deepest condolences. I remember Stacy as an anxious young mother-to-be, concerned about her pregnancy, the forthcoming labor, and the wellness of her child, her much-adored "Junie".and the happiness she enjoyed in being a new mother. I will always remember her in that light.

I can still recall a beautiful
dark haired girl with huge brown eyes
and a very kind heart!
I hope the power of good moments shared, over ride the difficult battle Stacy endured.

Manny, June, Steve and your entire family: What could anyone possibly say to help comfort you. It has been very difficult for us to sit back and follow the events of your lives without being able to reach out . . . but we knew that she needed to savor every moment with each of you and, it should not have been any other way. Stacey needed you and you were there every step of the way. She is looking down with gratitude and the soft, gentle smile that we will always remember.
With love and prayers,
Joe and Joanne

Dear Tabachnik Family:
I befriended Stacy in 7th grade at Central School. She sat next to me in French. We became great pals at that point. There was just a rapport there, and a humor. We could always tease each other in the best way. We were classmates at New Trier East. In adulthood, it was my good fortune to be able not only to catch up with her at reunions, but to bump into her on occassion on the North Shore, and to have some great phone conversations. She was always such a delight, one of my special gal-pal friends from Central School. What an entirely sweet personality. Truly, she was the very example of sweetness to those of us who knew her.
I despised the length and severity of her illness. No one should ever have such a rough road. My heart goes out to all of you, especially you June. We will miss her dearly, and it was our good fortune to have her as a friend. May bluer skies come your way in due time.
My sincerest condolences,
Joe Goldman
