I know all of Sean’s friends really missed getting together last year due to covid. They all have so many fond memories of Sean. Hopefully this year they all can gather again. My son mentioned to me after I forwarded him the current legacy.com email, that he sometimes dreams about Sean and then wakes up with a smile. It’s so nice to hear Sean is still a big part of their lives, even in dreams and fond memories.

Hi Seany, I know I could just talk to you but writing seems more appropriate today. I have missed seeing you and giving you a hug so much this past year. Thank you for all the things you have done, little and big, to let us know you are around. It would have been an unbearable year without those. I love you, Aunt Mo

A dream of Sean:

I had a dream about Sean about a month ago. We were in the space between the family room and the hallway at the Northbrook house. I was sitting on the floor and Sean was standing about ten feet away from me. He looked happy and gestured as if he had something to tell me. Then, I woke up. I hope to join him in my dreams again.

Two memories of Sean:

A vivid memory of Sean was seeing him on his class trip to DC many years ago. He was a standout among his peers.

Another memory was going with Uncle John to see Sean play indoor soccer. He was great.

Sean,

I love you and miss you.

Dear Kelly Family and Friends-

My heart goes out to you and everyone who was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to know and love Sean. I will never forget him. He was truly a remarkable, genuine person who had so much more life to live and a world of opportunities ahead of him. I had the priveledge attending the U of I with him and befriending him through my sister, Abby Schwartz, and his dear friend, Chad Eisenberg among others. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and there is not a day that goes by that I don't wish to see his beautiful smiling face. Sean was vibrant and full of life and would light up every room he stepped into. I know he lit up your lives as well as the lives of all who knew him. I also know his spirit will continue to live within all of us.

My deepest condolences to your family.

Remembering/missing Sean on his birthday and always,

Kari

Sean, last year I told my kids we had to get fathers day card for their godfathers. I never got around to it. Now it makes me sad to know how much I took things for granted. Although you were away at school for most of the last three years you and Timmy were creating a special bond. Timmy talks of you often. We think of you everyday but we think of you even more today. It was apparent you were a natural as a role model and fatherly figure. I know you learned from one of the best. We love you and miss you.

I just found out about this horrifying tragedy and I cannot tell you how very sorry I am for your loss and all those who knew Sean. I had the honor of attending GBN and the University of Illinois with Sean and recently had the opportunity to spend the day with him on an interview. I am at a loss for words. My deepest condolences go out to your family.

Sean, hardly and hour goes by that I do not think of you. I never knew I could miss someone so much. I find some comfort in knowing that your spirit lives on in the many many people whose lives you have touched in such a positive way. I can still hear your voice greeting me with your "Hey Col". If John, Paddy and Timmy can grow up to be half the person you are I will feel I was successful as a mother. Although based on their lack of athletic ability now I think soccer may be out. There is still hope with Timmy though. We will work on it. We will always love you and I promise we will never forget you. I am sure you know this but you were a great cousin, godson and godfather. Rest in peace Sean.

Sean was an exceptional young man, and his loss has left a void in our hearts. The vast number of people that attended his wake and funeral are a testimony to the son that my brother and sister-in-law raised. My heart breaks for them and for Tricia and Dan. Though the pain of his loss will dim with time, we will always remember Sean, and we know that we'll be reunited with him in heaven.
