Mr. Kelly was my 1st football coach at OLOR. In 1980 I was in 4th grade. He called me "Stump" because I was so short and stocky. I don't remember seeing him much after 4th grade but I was called "Stump" through 8th grade. Even though I only knew him a short time and it's been over 35 years, he made an impression on me. So I was sad to hear the news this morning. My father had just happened to read it in the Sun-Times and called me. My condolences to the entire family.
