Nona Setler-Logan Obituary
was born Oct 24, 1948 on the Westside of Chicago, attending John Marshall High school; baptized and confirmed at St Andrew's Episcopal Church. Nona received a BS from Central State Wilberforce, OH, MS from U of I, Urbana and MD from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN. Nona was always active in science, social activism, and became a member of Delta Sigma Theta in 1968. Nona started her career path as a psychologist with Chicago Board of Education, after a decade she decided true calling was medicine. In 1980 Nona married Jerome Logan, welcoming their son, Jerome Raymond in 1988. The family relocated to Paducah, KY, where Nona established, "Not for Women Only" medical practice and a beauty supply store. In 2000, the family moved back to Nashville, TN, where Nona was an active member at Mount Zion Baptist Church, she continued her spiritual journey participating in Saving Our Daughters, the group nearest and dearest to her heart. Nona entered eternal life on March 23, 2021. She joined her parents Raymond and Isabelle Setler. She is survived by her husband Jerome, son Jerome Raymond, stepdaughter Quincy Logan, Berkley, IL; sister JoAnn Thompson, Chicago; niece Aisha McCarthy, nephew Dawud Thompson Chicago; "daughters" Monica Wilson and Yvette Windham both of TN.
