Michael was so humble and righteous. His life taught us about family, friends, and the ability to connect to others. His illness inspired us to face the unimaginable with courage
and spirit. His death reminds us of the power of love that can never
die...
This is from a Jewish passage I
would like to share with his family.
In the rising of the sun and in its going down,
We remember them.
In the blowing of the wind and in the chill of winter,
We remember them.
In the opening of buds and in the rebirth of spring,
We remember them.
In the shining of the sun and in the warmth of summer,
We remember them.
In the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn,
We remember them.
In the beginning of the year and when it ends,
We remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength,
We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart,
We remember them.
When we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them.
So long as we live, they too shall live,
For they are now a part of us,
As we remember them.

Mr. Milstein was one of the best teachers I ever had. He gave me my start in accounting and did everything possible to make every student succeed.

I wish I could be the teacher he was.

Dear Beth AKA Pook and Jason:

My heart breaks for the two of you. A parent could not ask for two more wonderful children. Your devotion to your father was more than any parent can hope for. I will miss Pappa Pook always - everyone's lives are greatly enriched for knowing him. The Words with Friends Community is in mourning today. I love you and my heart aches along with yours. Pappa Pook and Momma Pook are once again reunited and watching over you.

Love,

Michael AKA Pook

Dear Beth, Jason, and Jerry,
It was my privilege to be Mike's friend for 35 years, and to visit with him every week. Memories of our
time together will stay with me and enrich the rest of my life.
In the last 2 days I wore these poems, and want to share them with you. Wishing you all the consolation of your lifetime of wonderful memories,Love, David;

(from Elder Songs) (In these songs, I am the "Elder")

"Elder learns of best friend's death, in garden bird sings.
'Go in peace! Rest in peace!'.

'Elder in garden imagines death after gentle friend's life
as soft endless evening breeze.

Elder remembers friend's life of compassion,
full of meaning, and his peaceful dying.

In elder's dream, old friend smiles saying 'I am gone.'
Elder hugs him, says, 'I love you."

Elder says to beloved friend departing, 'Good-bye,
I am grateful for our time together, thank you, see you again.'
