Hendzel, Michael F. born April 19, 1914, at rest April 27, 2004, U.S. Air Force WWII Veteran, beloved husband of Bernice, loving brother of Stella Bednarczyk, Georgina Lukaszewski, Virginia (Edward) Drost, Amelia Hendzel, Walter (Ruth) Hendzel and the late August and Joseph Hendzel, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of Johnson Phelps VFW Post #5220 and Polish National Alliance, Lodge #1577. Funeral services Friday, 9:30 a.m., from Hann Funeral Home, 8230 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, to St. Gerald Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Children's Hope Hospital, 4440 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn, IL, 60453 or Treasure Chest Foundation, P.O.
