Mary Lou Eaton age 82 of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on May 29, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1938 in Taylorville, Illinois to her parents George and Paulina Pasero. Beloved wife of the late Gerald. Dear sister of the late Ann (Bud) Wenk. Cherished aunt of Paula Cahill, George (Janet) Wenk, and Steve (Julie) Wenk. Proud great aunt of Matthew Cahill, Jennifer Cahill, Jessica Wenk, William Wenk, Tina Wenk and Rhetta Schmitt. Mary Lou enjoyed volunteering at Holy Family Medical Center and she helped run the gift shop at St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church. She worked for many years as a pioneer in the telecommunications industry, rising to become an executive of the Centel Corporation, which was eventually purchased by Sprint in 1993. Visitation for Mary Lou will be taking place on Friday, June 4, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois, 60016. Funeral Mass will be taking place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 beginning at 10:15 a.m. at St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church in Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church in her name. Masks will be required. Mary Lou was my dear aunt 55 years ago. She always remembered my birthdays, and sent an Easter basket to me and my two little sisters. She made us feel special. I´ll always remember her beautiful smile, and her and Uncle Don´s dog, Indigo in Des Plaines. I remember Mr and Mrs Pesaro too. My condolences to her family. She was one of a kind and even though I hadn´t seen her in 25 years I am sad to hear of her passing.

What can I say about Mary Lou.... She was the sweetest and the most kindest lady I have ever met!! I have been her neighbor (down the street) my entire life and I'm glad to have known her and her sister and brother in law (Ann and Bud) whom also lived in the neighborhood!! I always loved their company and the stories about growing up and what not!! When I worked for Jewel Osco, I would see Mary Lou and sometimes with her neice Paula!! Always a joy to be around!! I will definitely miss Mary Lou!! She is with her beloved husband Jerry, Her loving sister Ann, loving brother in law Bud, and best of all, her beloved parents!! May Mary Lou Eaton rest In peace!! My deepest sympathies/condolences goes to Paula Cahill and the entire Eaton/Wenk family in their time of sorrows...
