Marilyn Wunar Obituary
Marilyn Wunar February 4, 1933 - Apr 12, 2023, Marilyn Wunar nee Kuta, age 90, late of Country Club Hills, Illinois died peacefully on April 12, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband Ted, and her beloved grand-dog, Wrigley. She was a loving and devoted mother to daughters Cynthia, who preceded her in death, and Lisa (Kelly); an adored grandma to Missy and Carl Schmook, Vincent and Margaret Maiorano; cherished "Granny II" to Buffy and Frank; dear sister to Dennis (Dolores) Kuta; beloved aunt to Diane Kuta and Donna Weier, and adored mother-in-law to Vic Maiorano. Marilyn grew up on the Southside of Chicago and then moved to Country Club Hills, Illinois in 1973. She was a homemaker who made everyone feel welcomed! She was an outstanding baker, who made numerous treats for Hillcrest High School. She was also an avid sports fan, who loved the Chicago Cubs, Hillcrest High School Athletics, and Women's College Softball. She leaves behind a loyal group of friends who will miss her laughter, generosity and kind-hearted spirit. Visitation will be Monday, April 17th, 9:00am - 12:30pm Tews Funeral Home 18230 Dixie Highway Homewood, IL 60430 Funeral Service/Interment will begin at 12:30pm Assumption Catholic Cemetery 19500 S. I remember Marilyn from my childhood days from 52nd and Paulina. My grandmother had the neighborhood grocery story she wound often come in the store my grandmother and Marilyn would talk about their recipes. Great fun Family. My condolences to her family and friends. May Marilyn RIP

Mrs. Wunar,
I am happy you are at peace - but I sure will miss our weekly time together. Please know how loved you are and always will be. We will all take care of Lisa - you and Uncle Teddy sure raises a strong confident woman in her for sure.

Lisa I read about your mom and Wrigley in the sun times and was shocked! You know I enjoyed her baked treats for a few years and understood how happy she was when you would bring her your Wrigley every morning! I will hold your family up in prayer. Love Diana Kitching
