I have written a song entitled "La da da" It is two part. 1.) It's about loving someone but not being able to tell them so instead of saying I Love You, you sing La da da. 2.) The La da das in the song were inspired by grandma because after her memory started to fade she still remembered the melodies and everything became La da das. To me the La da das meant I Love You....because I always felt her love when she sang to me. I have also decided to title my very first album that I am recording now..."La da da" in her remembrance.

La da da,

Dear Aunt Margie, Since we last wrote to you, Uncle Tony has been reunited with you, and for that we are comforted. If I didn't say it before, I will always remember you as a porcelain doll, always perfectly groomed, and just as beautiful inside as on the outside. I have many fond memories of sleep overs with Antoinette when we would embroider until our eyes were sore. I still have greeting cards from you with your poetry in them at the births of our children. Your gentleness was good for my Uncle Tony and your home. You were so unassuming, it was a long time before I realized how gifted you were. When I read your children's memories expressed, it says it all. The world was a better place when you were in it. Love, Pat, Harry, Harry James and Marie Geanuleas.

A Message From Your Loving Son, Joseph

Dear Mom, I miss you very much. Your birthday just passed and so did Dad's. I did not pick out a birthday card for you like I always do. I wish I could. But you and Dad have left us all with hearts full of life and love. You inspired us to dream big, and though many of our dreams have been fulfilled, we dream on. We dream because you believed in us, sang to us, lead us on our way to God and even encouraged us to be creative, just like you. We are doing the best we can without you and Dad, now. But we can still say, Love you Mom, Love you Dad, we miss you so!

Hi, Mom!
How's my sweetheart? Well today was another big day! We all got together in celebration of Kevin and Joanna's wedding shower. I was thinking of you, of course, knowing you were watching over all of us with a smile on your face.
Just a few moments ago I was downstairs with Dad talking about the fun we had and he smiled and said it was all your fault that our family was so big and still growing! I reminded him that he was also was a big part of the plan. He then said, "Hi, Margie"! So we said our prayers and The Angel of God prayer in honor of you, as we do each night. He misses you and I know you miss him too. So, just want to tell you that I love you, Mom, and that I think of you EVERY day throughout the day. Though I miss you, I know you are always by my side close by with the angels!
Good night and love you LOTS!
Kathy

Dearest Mom,
We love you with all our hearts. Thank you for being the best Mom a little girl could have. You were always so happy and giving, ever sharing of your time and talents. You showed your love in so many ways -- curling my hair, ironing my party dresses, cuddling at bedtime, even staying in the room until I was asleep if that was what I wanted! You had a tireless amount of energy, and although you might be up all night with the new baby, you were always in the kitchen in the morning fixing breakfast for the family and ready to help me with that last minute homework question. You taught me so much--not only things like how to embroider and crochet, how to play Jacks and Double Dutch, how to bathe and hold the new baby, but so many lessons of the heart. You taught me love and reverence for God and His Son Jesus. You showed me the importance of reaching out to others with love and respect and of always making room for one or two more at the dinner table. You passed on your love and appreciation of music, poetry, literature, art, and children!
Your greatest joy was your family. You couldn't wait to tell everyone you met how many children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren you had (which, by the way, number 6 children, 30 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren with #24 on the way). You absolutely loved family vacations, family parties, and family picnics. And I am grateful that we shared so many! You will always be famous for your orange cake, butter horn cookies, almond crescents, and the highly anticipated "tea parties" with the children. You were ever ready to share your talents as an artist, a poet, a pianist, and a writer. You were very proud of your heritage and faithfully recorded, for your children and grandchildren, the stories of your family's move from Vienna, Austria, where you were born, to the USA.
Mom, you have left us with many wonderful memories and with your everlasting love. We praise God for the blessing of your life, and I thank Him that I have had the privilege of being your daughter. Thank you for your legacy of faithfulness to our Dad, to us, and to the mission that God designed for you. We love you, Mom, and we rest in the Lord's promise that "God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 We miss you, Mom, but it is such a great comfort to know that you are with Jesus and that someday we will meet again!
Your ever loving daughter and son-in-law,
Antoinette and John

Dear Mom,
I want you to know that you have been a very big influence on my life. I will never forget all the help you & Dad gave Me & Kathy watching our kids all those years ago. Your smile was contagious. Your laughter sparked our day. And Mom, what a family you & Dad have raised. They all love you so much. You sacrificed so much for everyone. Mom, please don't worry about your Dear Tony. Your great family won't let you down. We will all do our best to take care of him. You have left us, but we will never forget you. You are in our hearts every day.
Your Loving Son In-Law

Dear Tony and family-members of Margaret
I also send the condolences of Anna Lech from Bigonville, my parents and my family. We still remember the times that Margaret and Tony have passed in Luxembourg. Especially because Margaret was speaking German, she could speak with everybody and make translations. She was so a nice and pleasant person. And she used to say "Was ist los? Alles was nicht angestrickt ist!(translation: what's happening? but she meant "what is loose?" Answer Anything that is not fixed by strings or chains") And then she laughed loudly.

Hi Grandma I love you so much and there isn't much to say that hasn't been said already. You were the best thing in all our lives. You held our whole family together with your kindness and everlasting love for everyone. You were a grandma, a mom, and most importantly a friend. Thank you for everything you taught me, because of you I am a better person. I know you are up there somewhere looking down on me and smiling. I hope you know that I am staring right back at you hoping to get a glimpse of you through the clouds. I will always miss you, but never forget you. Leave a seat open for me up there at the table. One of these days I will see you again, this time I will bring the TEA AND TOAST. All you have to bring is yourself. Love Always, Jimmy

Hi Grandma, I will never forget your smile and the way you would sing and dance around the house, how you made the best macaroni & cheese cause you added the "extra" cheese, how patient you would be while teaching me things, how you would calm me on stormy nights with stories about Vienna, Austria about your sisters and brothers and your Mom and Dad. Your love for music and art has been passed down to so many of your children, grandchildren & great children. Every time I sing, play music or draw I will always think of you. I can picture you now up in heaven catching up with Grandma King and sharing stories about all of us. I can feel you on my other shoulder now watching out for me too:) I miss you.
Love always, your Eagle Scout, Kevin

I'll always remember the tea parties, the toast and apricot jam, the cookies at night when Grampa was sleeping, the tight hugs, and you waking me every morning in the basement playing the piano and singing with such a beautiful voice. I'll remember you and Grandpa serenading each other all the time while you and Grandpa made me and my brothers lunch while my Mom and Dad were working. I'll remember listening to you for hours telling me stories of yours and Auntie Anne's trip to America on the boat. I'll never forget watching the Cubs games with you and Grandpa singing take me out to the ball game, or hiding behind your chair when something scary came on the TV. I used to sit for hours and watch you draw, and the whole time you would sing with me. I'll remember staying up late with you Jimmy, and Kevin and playing UNO. You had the best laugh. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA, and your too much apart of my soul to ever be forgotten. Your guidance and love helped me become the man I am today, and I will never forget that. Watch over me Grandma, and continue to be my Guardian Angel...just as you always have been.

To my dear, sweet mother:
I love you more than words can ever say. I thank you for the life you have given to me and my brothers and sisters and especially, for making it possible for me to become a mother of six, just like you! When I was small, I craved to be by you every minute I could; you always felt me clinging to your side as you were my protector and someone I always knew loved me very much. I am so grateful to be your daughter and to have been able to spend all these years with you and Dad. You have always been the BEST parents! I promise to take care of your sweetheart, Dad! We all love him so much and will make sure he is safe and cared for by all of us.
Mom, I will continue to think of you every day of my life and remember the beautiful person you are. I will feel your love from heaven and know that you are feeling mine from my heart! Though I will miss you, I know you will always continue to be at my side. And when you hear me singing, "You Are My Sunshine", know that I am still singing to YOU! God bless you, Mom, always and keep you in his loving care.
Love, your daughter, Kathy

Dearest Tony, Pete, Pam, Kids and Schroeders All...
How fondly we think of your dear mother and her ever present smile. She was always ready to party and sing along to "Wien, Wien, nur Du Allein." Now she surely sings in that city of her dreams. No matter how prepared one is to accept what is expected, the departure of one so dear is difficult to say the least and seems so final. Of course it is not final at all - just for a while. And in that place, where surely Margaret dwells, that while is but a moment. She waits for you, for us all. We know that she will once again greet us the same way, singing and smiling as always.
God grant her wings of gold.
Don and I are driving as fast as we can to come up from Florida. We want to be there to say fare thee well, Margaret.
Our Love,
Gerda and Don

May we remember my Aunt Margie in the sunrise, in the birds chirping, in the gentle rain and in the stars in the night. I think she would like that.
