Louie was always warm and welcoming. It's wonderful to hear happy memories of him from our kids, who were such youngsters when he touched their lives. What a blessing to live on in people's minds and hearts.

Dear Pam and Melanie
I keep thinking about my 40th birthday party when Louie took all those wonderful pictures of everyone to capture the greatest moments. My friends that were there talked about "Uncle Louie" (that's how he introduced himself to my friends) the next day. One friend in particular had the chance to talk with him for only 15 min. that evening. The very next day she described him as "a gem with a zest for life." That is a fact. He will always be a gem in my heart as well as others that knew him forever or just 15 min! He was just that type of person. I will miss him deeply and I love you both.

There are no words that can express the void that Louie has left in our lives. We truly bless the day that he introduced Melanie to Tony and made our lives complete. Pam you are one special beautiful lady. Please know that we are here for you and love you. Even though Sofia and Anthony are young, family and friends will be able to share Louie's life with them in the many stories that he had a knack for telling. We will miss you.

Dear Pam, Looking back, we feel honored to have had the opportunity to spend time with you and Louie and the family on New Year's Eve. We got to see Louie in action with his grandkids - not a side of him we saw very often but one that was clearly his favorite. I know that for the rest of our days when we are together we'll tell stories of goofy Louie - there is no better way to honor him than to laugh. We pray that God comforts your family and holds you close - and keeps your minds focused on the great life Louie had and the time you were a part of it. Love.....

I'm at a total loss for words for once in my life. I cannot even express my heart felt sympathy enough for you Melanie, Tony and the kids, Pam, Jack and the rest of the family. Anyone who ever had the extreme pleasure of meeting Louie, and got to know him, was touched by him. He had an unforgettable personality that shined no matter the situation. People like Louie are a rarity, and he will truly be missed by many. Melanie, even though we may not be as close as we once were, please know I am still here for you and the rest of the family. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate for a second to ask, even if it’s just a shoulder to lean on. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Louie had a way of always putting a smile on my face and making me laugh. He always had a story to tell.
I cherish the pictures he always made us pose for. Louie was
the kind of person who was always
there for you and would do anything for you. Melanie and Pam, words cannot express my sorrow. Know you are in my heart and prayers and remember friends are there to lean
on when your cross is to much to
bear. I love you all. Louie you will be
greatly missed.

Louie was a great, funny, and loving family man. Growing up with Melanie and having known Louie for practically my whole life, he was the type of person that really knew how to make you laugh and cheer you up. I can remember the many, many times that he'd have all of us pose for pictures on all sorts of occasions or just anytime because he wanted to finish the roll. And how we shared a birthday and he'd always wish me a happy belated birthday whether our birthdays just passed or they were months ago. Melanie, Pam & Tony, my heart goes out to you all. I know that he loved you all very much and he will greatly be missed. Please remember that you have many friends that are there for you. Please don't hesitate to lean on them. Love you much!!!

I was so surprised to hear of Louie's sudden passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. While I was in Chicago you and Louie were a great support to me, really like adoptive parents. You both meant a great deal to me. I wish I could be there during this time.
