Kathryn Hirsch Obituary

Hirsch, Kathryn Ann (nee Farrington) 61, died July 8, 2016 at her home in Fountain, Michigan after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Kathryn was surrounded by loved ones at her beautiful lake house. She was born February 5, 1955 in Hazel Crest, Illinois to Isabelle and Francis Farrington. She was the third child and eldest daughter of their seven children. Kathryn was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, grandmother, nurse and an extraordinarily strong woman. Throughout her full life, she reveled in spending time with loved ones, as well as helping and healing others. Gardening, cooking, baking and traveling were also passions of hers, but more than anything else Kathryn loved being around her family. Playing board games, solving puzzles, taking rides on the pontoon boat and spending time with her four grandsons were her happiest moments. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Hirsch; her four children, Christopher Hirsch (Jorilyn), Amie Inabinet (Chad), Edward Hirsch (Lauren), and Thomas Hirsch, as well as her grandchildren, Kyle and Joshua Hirsch and Noah and Caleb Inabinet. Services for Kathryn will be held at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 17248 S. Harlem Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477, Visitation from 3:00-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at St. George Catholic Church, 6707 175th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477.
